Cunard is perhaps one of the most recognisable cruise line companies in the world. For over 150 years, Cunard have been setting the standards for ocean travel. Arguably, they have always been The Most Famous Ocean Liners in the World. From the early days of the infamous Titanic voyage, Cunard have come a long way and have a fleet of cruise liners that have royal lineage. Currently Cunard have three ocean liners in operation – the Queen Mary 2, the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth.
Over the years, the most glamorous names have made champagne toasts onboard Cunard liners, danced the night away in the grand ballrooms, savoured grand feasts of the finest flavours and enjoyed some of the best company out on the decks. A journey onboard a Cunard Liner is like stepping back in time and you can become a part of their rich heritage by taking a voyage of discovery onboard one of the world’s most famous liners.
The Cunard fleet is currently made up of three luxury liners, all with a royal lineage – The Queen Mary 2, the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth. All three liners are decked out with features that make all of Cunard’s liners multi-award winners. The latest ship to the fleet is the Queen Elizabeth, named by Her Majesty the Queen in 2010 and already established as a firm favourite with Cunard cruisers.
The Queen Mary 2 will undergo an extensive 25-day-dry-dock in 2016 which will bring the luxurious liner up to modern day standards in terms of innovations and onboard technology. With luxurious marbles, woods and rich fabrics, the Queen Victoria is every bit a modern day liner but with a special ambience that is evocative of great liners past.
All three liners are an absolute joy to travel on and something all cruise lovers should experience once in their lives.
