When is the best time to go to Europe?
The main cruising season in Europe is in the Northern Hemisphere summer between June-September, however the European season is definitely getting longer depending on the type of holiday you prefer. Seasonal enthusiasts who love the colours of Spring or Autumn may choose to go earlier or later in the year in what have become known as the shoulder seasons when the weather can still be mild depending on where you visit and the number of people is often much less, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing cruise. For travellers from New Zealand and Australia, the most common time to cruise Europe is between June and September when the weather is cold at home and the Mediterranean offers a beautiful warm summer to get you through the winter months.
