Cruise weddings
Cruising has long been thought of as being synonymous with
romance! It is not surprising therefore that a number of
couples destined for the alter enquire as to the options
of being married on a ship.
There are basically two options:
1. Being married in a chapel aboard the ship at sea by
the Captain! There is only one major cruise line that provides
this service – Princess Cruises. Princess ships such
as Grand Princess, Golden Princess & Star Princess
offer an onboard wedding chapel. Depending on the time
of year these ships sail the destinations of the Caribbean,
Europe, Alaska, Mexico, South Pacific (repositioning) and
Australia/New Zealand.
A basic wedding package commences from approximately NZ$1500
and there are a large number of package options to suit
your desire. For further information on Weddings at Sea
packages please contact your iCruise Consultant or local
travel agent.
2. Weddings in Port. This refers to those passengers that
get married pre-departure or in a chosen port within their
cruise itinerary. There are a host of things to consider
with this option including obtaining marriage licences,
witnesses, who will/can be present at the wedding, catering
if required etc. The best advice is to contact iCruise
who will work in conjunction with you to best facilitate
your every need.
